Knicks News: Can the New York Knicks Sustain Their Momentum as They Hit Their Stride?

Updated: Dec 27, 2024

Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns

The Knicks are winners of six straight games in Madison Square Garden and seem like they've finally hit their stride. Karl-Anthony Towns has quickly proved why Leon Rose and the New York Knicks were touting him for many years. He's a superb talent on the basketball court.

KAT has quickly found himself mixed into the MVP conversation as the latest NBA MVP ladder has him in the top 5. He's averaging 25.2 PPG to go along with 13.2 REB (2nd in NBA) and shooting a whopping 45% from 3. Of course, it hasn't just been Karl-Anthony Towns that has been producing for this basketball team. Jalen Brunson is becoming more of a floor general for the Knicks as well as being an efficient scorer. His AST% is at 33.4% this season. OG Anunoby is having a great start to the season, showing us his offensive prowess. Josh Hart is having a career year, and over his past three games, Mikal Bridges seems to have found his way within the offense. Now it is still early, and there are things to improve on, such as defense, but with Precious Achiuwa making his return last game and with the return of Mitchell Robinson on the horizon, the Knicks' defense should improve.

The Knicks being #1 in the NBA in offense isn't a fluke. And there are reasons why it can continue to improve.Either way, there are reasons for Knicks fans to be happy. The party is just getting started.
